An Intro By Any Other Name

August 26, 2008

I guess since this is the first post for the first comic, I should start with some sort of sales pitch on why you should read the comic, or possibly telling you what we’re going to try to do or maybe even begging you to follow the adventures of our characters and tell you to email everyone you know, telling them about this comic. But I’m not going to do that, I have faith you will all take these things into your own hands, and do what you know is right.

These are some of the things I struggle with in life. Will my lunch be extravagant end delicious, or a microwave job fit for the dirty hobos that live on train station benches? Life is full of choices, and sometimes we don’t always pick the glamorous ones. It’s not a matter of being lazy, but more about not caring if you eat Kobe Beef, or a piece of meat that could have been from a less-than-savory animal. They both have the same nutritional value, so why pay more for one than the other?

I suppose somewhere in this post I should talk about myself, what I do, and why I’m doing this. For now I’ll skip the first two, since they’re anything but interesting. Brad, the artist for this whole operation, showed me some drawings he did of the characters, exclaiming how he wanted to make a comic out of it, then telling me to write something. The rest, as they say, is history. We did, over the course of two days, six different strips, which will be uploaded to the intertubes as we see fit. Most likely on a schedule of Mondays and Thursdays.

If I feel like it, I will probably put up my blatherings on this blog, sometimes pertaining to the comic, sometimes it will be about whatever is on my mind at the time. Unless of course, I get sick of this whole thing and quit, without telling anyone anything.

This Thursday, I leave for PAX, which is probably the best gaming convention on the west coast. if the people at FedEx decide to stop toying with my mind and actually deliver my iPod Touch, I will be twittering from PAX, which will most likely show up on my Twitter, found here. I’m most looking forward to the “ArenaNet Presents: 3 Years of GuildWars” panel and the Fallout 3 screening.

I guess this is it for now.
